M.E. - Male Educators
Male Educators is an education organization that welcomes students in the department of education. The organization was found at Illinois State University in 2012.
In order to qualify to be a member of Male Educators, you must be an education major at Illinois State or a currently working in the field of education.
It is our purpose to foster a community of confident, trusting, and compassionate male educators at Illinois State University; educators who act on shared values and demonstrate purposeful actions in their everyday lives. This includes a networking system for male educators, correcting public misperceptions, acting as positive role models for students, and forming an alliance with female educators to establish trusting and efficient relationships in the classroom and school community. It is our mision to become nurturing, knowledgeable, and collaborative educators.
New Member Requirements
- Have declared a major in education
- Miss no more than one meeting
- Pay semester dues
- Participate in organization fundraiser
- Pay $15 new member dues
- Complete 5 education related service hours
Member Requirements
- Remain an education major
- Miss no more than one meeting
- Pay semester dues
- Participate in organization fundraiser
- Pay $10 current member dues
- Complete 5 education related service hours
